GR Now features an interactive calendar of events to show what's going on in the Grand Rapids area.

Blandford Nature Center has 143 acres of land filled with wildlife. They seek to educate and engage the community to understand the environment and use natural spaces.

The Fulton Street Farmer's Market is the largest and oldest farmer's market in Grand Rapids.


Access Kent offers information on county parks in the area, including the zoo, as well as walking and hiking trails.

 
The John Ball Zoo has over 1,100 animals representing the wilds of Africa, Asia, South America, and the United States.


Festival of the arts
is a celebration of the arts in West Michigan, this festival takes place each summer in downtown Grand Rapids.

DeVos Place, the brand-new, state-of-the-art convention center located in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids, brings in tradeshows, conventions, and various other activities to the area.

The VanAndel Arena attracts the biggest names in concerts, family shows and sporting events. It is also home to the Grand Rapids Griffins Hockey team and the Grand Rapids Rampage Arena Football team.

Teams


The West Michigan Whitecaps are the Class A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers. The Whitecaps play April through September at Fifth Third Ballpark.

The AHL's Grand Rapids Griffins, the primary affiliate of the National Hockey League's Detroit Red Wings, play in the beautiful Van Andel Arena.

The Grand Rapids Flight, member of the Internation Basketball League.

Museums

The Grand Rapids Art Museum collection includes over 6,000 works of art of European Art 1400 to the present, American Art and American Regional Art from 1840 to the present, and works of International Modernism.

The Grand Rapids Public Museum, Van Andel Museum Center and Roger B. Chaffee Planetarium offer programs and exhibitions for all ages. The antique restored operating carousel is open for your enjoyment every day.

The Grand Rapids Children's Museum celebrates childhood and the joy of learning by providing an interactive, hands-on environment that inspires learning.

Named for the 38th President of the United States, who was raised in Grand Rapids, the Gerald R. Ford Museum galleries feature hands-on, interactive, video, and holographic displays that make visitors "participants" in history.
