Welcome to the Grand Rapids Medical Education Partners web site. Our organization is a partnership between Saint Mary's Health Care, Spectrum Health, Grand Valley State University and Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. In collaboration with our consortium members we offer a broad array of outstanding educational opportunities for residents, fellows, practicing physicians, physician's assistants, nurses and students in other health professions. Our learners train in a variety of locations around the community including Blodgett Hospital, Butterworth Hospital, Helen DeVos Children's Hospital, The Hauenstein Center, Lemmon Holton Cancer Pavilion, Lacks Cancer Center, Meijer Heart Center, and Saint. Mary's Health Care.
We work closely with the new four year medical school campus of Michigan State University College of Human Medicine for medical student rotations in Grand Rapids. We sponsor training programs for almost 300 residents in 17 specialties and subspecialties and are planning to establish several new fellowships. Our continuing medical education program is among the largest in the State of Michigan.
Through our graduate medical education and continuing medical education programs our goal is to be a catalyst in establishing West Michigan as a center of excellence in clinical care, physician education and interdisciplinary training in the health professions. Our web site contains a wealth of information on medical and health professions education and research in Grand Rapids. Please enjoy your visit here and do not hesitate to contact us if you have questions or need additional information.
