Grand Rapids Medical Education Partners
Grand Rapids Medical Education Partners (GRMEP) is a partnership between Spectrum Health, Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and Grand Valley State University. Our goal is to help our partners make West Michigan a center of excellence in clinical care, physician education and interdisciplinary training in the health professions.
Through this collaboration, a broad array of outstanding educational opportunities are offered to residents, fellows, practicing physicians, physician’s assistants, nurses and students in other health professions. These learners train in a variety of locations around the community including Blodgett Hospital, Butterworth Hospital, Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital, The Hauenstein Center, Lemmon Holton Cancer Pavilion, Lacks Cancer Center, and Meijer Heart Center.
GRMEP provides support to its partners through the administration and oversight of graduate medical education. This support encompasses nearly 300 residents in 21 specialties and subspecialties, with more residencies and fellowships being planned.
