Program Overview

The Ferguson Clinic Colorectal Surgery Fellowship Program was founded in 1959 and over 160 residents have completed the fellowship training in Grand Rapids. The fellowship program is now managed through the Grand Rapids Medical Education Partners/Michigan State University (GRMEP/MSU) affiliation but the tradition of the Ferguson Clinic continues in the education and training of the colorectal fellows.

We are a very balanced program that is committed to providing experience, variety, academics and research and the required support systems that are necessary to have a fulfilling clinical year that can confidently take you to the next step in your career.

Program Highlights

Graduates of the program complete their clinical year with a broad range of clinical experience, research and have consistently been competent to forge their career upon completion of the fellowship program. We have had graduates who have secured both academic and private practice jobs.
