Research Travel Application Process
GRMEP will provide reimbursement for up to $2000 for a resident/fellow presenting his/her research at an APPROVED regional, national or international conference. In order to be eligible for reimbursement, residents/fellows must complete and submit the Research Travel Application Form below (including abstract). This form should be completed and submitted prior to submission to the conference. Funding will be available one time during a resident’s/fellow’s training period. The program and/or resident/fellow will be responsible for any costs that exceed the $2000/meeting.
GRMEP will reimburse transportation costs (e.g., airfare, mileage, taxis), meals, lodging, and conference/registration fees according to the GRMEP Staff and Resident Reimbursement Policy. All receipts for expenditures MUST be submitted within 30 days of expenditure (not the date of the conference) in order to be considered for reimbursement. GRMEP can assist with paying in advance for certain items such as lodging and meals (per diem), as well as reimburse for out of pocket expenses for travel prior to the meeting.
- PGY1 residents are eligible for the travel fund, with the approval of the Program Director. Remember, though, if you use it now, it won’t be available later…one time only!
- If you are not the first author, but will be presenting, please contact us prior to submitting the form.
- Funding will NOT be available subsequent to graduation for the program.
- The information you provide on the form will be shared with your Program Director, so please make sure you have his/her approval prior to submitting the form below.
